Nestled in the lush natural surroundings of Nago, Okinawa, HELIOS Distillery is renowned not only for its Awamori and craft beer, but also for its Japanese whisky, which has been attracting growing attention around the world.
Using pure spring water nurtured by the Yanbaru Forest, Okinawa’s warm subtropical climate, and distilling expertise refined over many years, HELIOS creates distinctive whiskies that can only be crafted in Okinawa.

After your distillery tour, be sure to visit our Kusu-gura Shop & Gallery, which reopened in November 2023 following a complete renovation.
Inside, you’ll find a wide selection of HELIOS Distillery’s signature products, including Awamori, rum, whisky, and craft beer. You may even discover limited-edition products and exclusive bottles available only at our distillery.
At our inviting bar counter, you can enjoy a variety of complimentary and premium tastings. Comparing different expressions and discovering your favorite drink is one of the unique experiences that makes a visit to HELIOS Distillery truly memorable.
Opening Hours: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. You’re welcome to visit the shop even if you’re not joining a tour, making it the perfect place to stop by during your travels or to find the perfect souvenir.
